Top 20 Dummer In Metal Continued ( 20 More )

Ok so here are the drummers.  Like I said before without a good foot keeping time in your metal band you have to ground to stand on.  There has been a lot of astounding drum work through out the years in not just metal but all over the world of music.  For instance I really think that Carter Anthony Beauford from Dave Mathews Band is really great drummer.  He's very resourceful in his playing, and knows how to use his kit very well to give the right amount of texture and fill to the music.  So my drumming influences are all over the place also just like guitar.  So here are 20 more guys that I think can play very exceptionally along with the first 20.

1.   Bill Ward - Black Sabbath

2.   Blake Ritchardson - Between the Buried & Me

3.   Chuck Biscuits - Danzig

4.   Dave Grohl - Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, Tenacious D, Them Crooked Vultures

5.   Dirk Verbeuren - Soilwork

6.   Charlie Benante - Anthrax

7.   Travis Smith - Trivium

8.   John Tempesta - Exodus, Testament, Helmet, Rob Zombie

9.   Fenriz - Darkthrone

10.   Frost - Satyricon, Gorgoroth

11.   Matt Cameron - Soundgarden

12.   Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan - Avenged Sevenfold

13.   Daniel Svensson - In Flames, Diabolique

14.   Dave McClain - Machine Head

15.   John Dolmayan - System of A Down

16.   Mike Bordin - Faith No More, Ozzy, Korn

17.   Matt McDonough - Mud Vayne

18.   Igor Cavalera - Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy

19.   Mick Harris - Napalm Death

20.   Johnny Kelly - Type O Negative

SO here they are another 20 guys that kick hard on the drums.  So I hope if there is someone here you've never heard of you go check em out and it changes your life forever.  Job well done right.  So drumming is close 2nd to my favorite instrument to play I love the speed, and aggression, but also slowing it down and playing with smooth finesse at times.  So next is singers and that will fun cause I had some good ones on my first 20 so the next 20 will be pretty interesting also.  So until next time stay hard, stay heavy.

Top 20 Bass Guitarists In Metal Continued (20 More)

So as I did for guitarists I added 20 more shredders to the list so I'm gonna do it for the rest of the lists.  next is bass players.  There are a lot of great things that can be done with the bass that really add a great texture and cool aesthetic to a metal riff.  It makes it that much better when you have a crunchy good riff followed up with a great bass thug to back it up.  So here are 20 more bass players that I think are tearin it up.  Like I said before some of these guys could of been on my first top 20 like Jason Newsted, Frank Bello, Mike Inez, and John Campbell from Lamb of God.  So here it goes.

1.   Christian Olde Wolbers - Fear Factory

2.   Mike Inez - Alice In Chains, Ozzy

3.   Paul Barker - Ministry

4.   Sean Malone - Cynic, Gordian Knot

5.   Roger Patterson - Atheist ( Sorry I Couldn't find a 2nd decent picture of Roger so yeah )

6.   Bill Gould - Faith No More

7.   Stephan Fimmers - Necrophagist

8.   Phill Lynott - Thin Lizzy

9.   Jason Newsted - Metallica, Flotsam & Jetsam, Ozzy, Voivod

10.   Tim Commerford - Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave

11.   Duff McKagen - Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver

12.   John Campbell - Lamb of God

13.   Frank Bello - Anthrax

14.   Doug Wimbish - Living Colour

15.   Greg Christian - Testament

16.   Jared Anderson - Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal

17.   Jon Vesano - Nile

18.   Trevor Dunn - Fantomas, Mr. Bungle

19.   Eric Langlois - Cryptopsy

20.   Martin Mendez - Opeth

Ok so there they are 20 more bass players that I think are really great.  Some of these guys like obviously Phill Lynott, Tim Commerford of course aren't or weren't in heavy metal bands but their playing is just so kick ass that I can't help but put them here.  Cause we all know Thin Lizzy is not a metal band.  They do kick some ass though.  Same reason I put John Paul Jones on my first list.  Any true metal fan will tell that Led Zeppelin are not metal.  Although some of their styles have been used in aggressive rock through out the ages, they aren't metal.  Now Sabbath that's a whole nother story.  They are the origin of all things metal in my opinion.  So the next one will be drummers.  20 more drummers that hit the skins pretty well.  SO until next time stay hard, stay heavy,
